The Signet Ring, Always a Classic

The Signet Ring, Always a Classic

Signet rings are a long-time tradition that can encompass many different aspects of life; family, business, legacy, and spirit. Signet rings played an important part in history. Originally, they featured a unique family crest and were used as a signature in authenticating and sealing documents.

Initially, signet rings were worn by men on the pinky finger of the non-dominant hand and used to stamp and seal letters with a family crest. At that time, the rings were reversed so that the design would come out properly when stamped on documents.

As times have changed, so have those traditions. Signet rings are now frequently worn to show affiliation and support for a school, club, or organization as well as the traditional family connection. The traditional family crest signet rings have been updated to include initial monograms or original designs.

At The Carbon Culture, we love the signet ring and would love to hear how you wear yours or any new designs you would like to see from us.
